EAEU technical regulation on alcohol products adopted

On 21 February 2025, by EEC Council Decision No.21, the EAEU technical regulation on alcohol products was adopted.

Key provisions

• Uniform EAEU safety requirements for alcohol products;
• Labelling and consumer information requirements;
• Conformity assessment procedure before products are placed on the market.

Timing

The regulation enters into force on 1 January 2026. Manufacturers and importers of alcohol products should bring documentation and labelling into compliance in advance.
