From 7 July 2025 — tightening of the simplified certification scheme

From 7 July 2025 stricter rules for issuing certificates and declarations of conformity came into effect.

What changed

• The simplified scheme allowing registration per consignment without full testing was cancelled for a number of groups;
• Laboratory testing is now mandatory for electronics, home appliances and textile products;
• Evidence must be produced in an accredited testing laboratory.

Consequences

Timelines and costs may increase and evidentiary requirements are stricter. Plan your certification in advance.
