Draft amendments to TR CU 005/2011 "On packaging safety": restrictions for PET bottles

A draft amendment to TR CU 005/2011 "On the safety of packaging" (new clause 11.5 of Article 5) is under public discussion.

What is proposed

• A ban on circulating in the EAEU food-grade PET bottles of any colour except colourless, blue, green, brown and white
• A ban on multilayer PET bottles
• A ban on PVC labels on PET packaging — the only exception is shrink-sleeve labels
