Amendments to TR CU 009/2011 on cosmetic and perfumery products

On 24 December 2024 the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission published amendments to Technical Regulation TR CU 009/2011 "On the safety of perfumery and cosmetic products".

What changed

• The scope of the regulation and the list of covered products were clarified;
• Terms and definitions were aligned with current EAEU practice;
• Conformity assessment procedures and labelling requirements were updated.

What it means for business

Manufacturers and importers of cosmetics and perfumery should review their current declarations and certificates against the updated requirements. Products previously outside the scope may now require assessment.
